Will Charlton is the founder and CTO of Nirova and developed the original technology behind Nirova’s breakthrough platform. Mr. Charlton has over 25 years of experience in the anaerobic digestion industry and has a consultancy, Digester Doc, which is internationally regarded as the expert in AD. Mr. Charlton has conducted extensive research on anaerobic digestion processes with innumerable feedstock varieties and digester technologies in the industrial world. He has over two decades of experience in project development and feasibility, feedstock procurement, mass balance calculations, plant start-up and operational monitoring, post-digestion solids conditioning, fertilizer and soil amendment production, and digester evaluations. Mr. Charlton’s strength in understanding and optimizing biogas plant operations is renowned, as is his research on understanding microbial health within biogas facilities.
Chris Maloney is a senior executive and board member with over 40 years of experience in P&L leadership and global corporate management across the energy, renewables, waste management, and financial services sectors. An entrepreneurial leader, he has a proven track record of driving growth and delivering results in both public and private companies, including acquisitions, turnarounds, and high-growth initiatives. Throughout his career, he has founded and led organizations ranging from private-equity-backed start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises, managing multinational teams across four continents and fostering innovation and sustainable growth in complex business environments.
Mr. Maloney currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer at Nirova LLC as well as a Senior Advisor to companies in the US and Europe including Entsorga Group (Milan), Green2 Energy (Warsaw), Greenlane Renewables (Vancouver), and Sustain RNG (United States). He also chairs the RNG Coalition’s Maritime Task Force, overseeing efforts to evaluate the market potential, economics, and deployment challenges of renewable natural gas (RNG)-derived biomethane in maritime applications.
Previously, Mr. Maloney served as Chief Development Officer at Sustain RNG, Chief Executive Officer of Entsorga Inc., Global Head Chief Operating Officer of Digested Organics, and Chairman & CEO of Amandla International in South Africa.
He holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois and serves on the boards or advisory groups of the World Biogas Association (London), the RNG Coalition, and Prime Quoin (Chicago).
David Christensen is a seasoned finance executive with experience spanning complex multinational corporations and fast‑growing start‑ups. He brings deep expertise in leading teams, optimizing systems, and strengthening processes across Financial Reporting, Controllership, Treasury, and operational finance.
Mr. Christensen has also served as a consultant and board member to a diverse range of companies, including organizations in the energy sector and early‑stage ventures. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and is a Certified Public Accountant
Alex Chassels is an experienced operating executive who helps companies translate growth plans into disciplined execution. Over his career, he has led operations, supply chain, engineering, and business transformation across complex industrial and technology environments, consistently improving delivery, margin, and organizational performance. As Advisor to the Board at Nirova, he advises on operating model design, execution discipline, and the practical systems needed to scale.
